Your Financial Data

Everything smart that Veru365 does — plans, projections, advice — is only as good as the data underneath. This chapter covers the five ways to get your financial life into the platform, and how to keep it organized.

The data foundation

There are three ways data enters Veru365, and they reinforce each other:

  • Automatically — link banks and brokerages via Connected Accounts and balances sync themselves.
  • Conversationally — tell the assistant (“our mortgage is $2,400/month”) and it writes the value into the right tool for you.
  • Manually — open any tool from the Tools menu and type values in directly, or upload documents to the File Vault and let the AI extract the numbers.

Most tools show a data-completion meter so you can see how full your picture is at a glance.

Connected Accounts (Plaid)

Veru365 links to your real financial accounts through Plaid, the same connection service used across the financial industry. Veru365 never sees or stores your bank password.

  1. Open Connected Accounts Go to Settings → Connected Accounts.
  2. Add an institution Click connect, search for your bank or brokerage, and sign in through Plaid's secure window. Some institutions bounce you to their own site to approve access (OAuth) and then return you to Veru365 automatically.
  3. Pick accounts to share Choose which checking, savings, credit, loan, or investment accounts to link.
  4. Review your Financial Summary Linked balances aggregate into a summary view and flow into your Financial Statements and plan.
Why connect accounts? Linked data keeps your net worth, cash flow, and plan projections current without re-typing balances every month — and the assistant can answer “what's my actual balance?” instead of “what did you tell me last quarter?”

Financial Statements (your PFS)

Tools → Financial Statements is your Personal Financial Statement — the classic four-part picture lenders and planners use:

🏠

Assets

Cash, investments, real estate, vehicles, business interests — everything you own.

💳

Liabilities

Mortgages, loans, credit cards — everything you owe.

💵

Monthly Income

Salary, business income, rental income, and other inflows.

🧾

Monthly Expenses

Housing, transport, food, insurance, and the rest of your outflows.

Assets minus liabilities is your net worth; income minus expenses drives your cash flow — both headline numbers in your financial plan. Fill it in manually, let Plaid populate the linked parts, or dictate it to the assistant in chat.

Fact Finder (your financial profile)

The Fact Finder (Settings → Financial Profile) is the structured intake behind serious planning — the details a human advisor would gather in a first meeting:

  • Personal & family: marital status, dependents, beneficiaries
  • Income sources and employment
  • Goals, time horizons, and risk tolerance (with a companion Financial Preferences page)

The Fact Finder supports autofill from data you've already provided, and the assistant fills it live during conversations — you'll see fields flash as they update. A Danger Zone section at the bottom lets you clear the profile and start over.

Why it matters The financial plan generator reads the Fact Finder. The more complete it is, the less the AI has to assume.

My Personal Budget

Tools → My Personal Budget builds a monthly budget: income, expense categories, and savings targets. You get a clear “what you'll get” summary of your plan-to-spend, and the assistant can build the first draft from a conversation (“help me budget on $6,000 a month”) and adjust it as life changes.

Tax Organizer

Tools → Tax Organizer collects everything tax season needs in one place: documents, income details, deductions, and filing information. It supports multiple tax profiles — useful for a business and personal return, or for different tax years — each with its own detail page.

File Vault

Tools → File Vault is secure document storage with an AI twist: Veru365 extracts key values from what you upload.

  1. Upload documents Statements, tax forms, insurance policies, mortgage documents — drag and drop into the vault (or hand them to the assistant mid-chat).
  2. Let extraction run The platform reads the document and pulls out structured values (balances, rates, account numbers) that can flow into your financial picture.
  3. Reference them anywhere Ask the assistant about any stored document — “what's the interest rate on the mortgage I uploaded?”
  4. Share selectively Generate read-only share links for vault items when your advisor needs to see a document.

AI Memory

If your organization enables it, Settings → AI Memory shows the durable facts the assistant has learned about you across conversations — goals, family details, preferences. You can review and delete anything there. Memory makes follow-up conversations feel continuous (“as you mentioned, your daughter starts college in 2027…”) instead of starting from zero.

Note AI Memory is an experimental feature and is off by default; many organizations won't show it yet.
